Owen has extensive healthcare operations expertise, and was previously the Director of Business Development for Barnet Delaney Perkins Eye Center, where he managed the ancillary business efforts of the group, including the development of surgery center ventures, managed care contracting, IPA development, and other ventures, having profit and loss responsibility over each unit. Owen has also held senior operations positions in other industries, and received his training in the US Navy, where he worked at US Navy Hospitals as a healthcare asset manager before working for the Defense Finance and Accounting Department as a Medical Accountant.
Owen received his PhD in Organizational Systems from the Saybrook Graduate School where he focused on leading organizational change in the healthcare industry. Owen received his BS and MA from the University of Phoenix.
